Product impact score
Where we’re headed
We want to show a clear, product-level environmental score when the supporting data is sufficient, so you can weigh an item on more than price and looks. We plan to use Ecobalyse — the open methodology developed by France’s environmental agency — rather than inventing an unexplained score ourselves.
The honest part
An accurate score needs detailed information about each product: what it’s made of, where each production step happened, and how. Today that data isn’t consistently available from the brands and retailers we bring together. Rather than publish scores we can’t stand behind, we’d rather show you where the gaps are.
What’s changing: the Digital Product Passport
The EU has created a framework for product-specific Digital Product Passports. Textiles and apparel are a priority, but the textile-specific scope, required fields and compliance date have not yet been set. Future passports may provide more structured product data; we will still assess its completeness and provenance before using it in a score.
In the meantime
We show the most reliable signal we can: independent brand-level sustainability ratings from Good On You, where they exist. Where we don’t yet have enough to say something meaningful, we’ll say so plainly rather than guess.
Bear with us
We’re building this in the open and improving it continuously. Thank you for your patience while the data catches up with the ambition.
