How our data works
Everything you read about a garment on kleerdrobe comes from somewhere. This page says exactly where from, what we do with it, and what we deliberately do not do.
Where the data comes from
All product attributes come from the retailers' own product feeds.
We normalise that data but never infer it. Where an attribute is missing, we show that it is missing.
What happens when an attribute is missing
Retailers frequently publish an incomplete product description. Where the composition, the country of manufacture or a care instruction is absent, we show it as absent rather than filling it in. A missing attribute is honest; an invented one is not.
Composition not specified — that comes from the garment's own label, not from an assumption of ours.
Certifications
Certifications are the brand's own. We do not verify them independently.
What we do not show
We display no environmental score, grade or label. None at all.
No number, no letter, no colour code, no leaf, no mark of our own. Such a label would be a judgement of ours that we cannot substantiate, and since 27 September 2026 it is also not permitted. Instead we show the facts the retailer supplies and let you filter on them: by material, by country of manufacture, by certification.
How we make money
We earn commission when you buy through us.
Commission plays no part in how search results are ordered.
You always buy from the retailer. We sell nothing, hold no stock and handle no returns. Which retailers those are is stated on every product.
About UPV textiel
Since 1 July 2023 the Netherlands has operated extended producer responsibility for textiles. Producers must have a share of discarded textiles reused or recycled, and 'preparing for reuse' includes repair. We do not fall under it ourselves: our repair support covers clothes still hanging in your wardrobe, which were therefore never discarded. We mention it here because the question is a fair one, not because we claim anything from it.
